Administrator's Report
Temple Christian School

"2005-2006 Has Been a Great Year"
What a great year we've had at Temple Christian
School. We've made great strides in upgrading every aspect of the
school - from our accreditation work, upgrading our technology, remodeling the facilities,
and wonderful
student accomplishments to making history with our football, baseball and
softball teams.

Glory to God! Thanks to the hard work of
many people, Temple Christian School is now Provisionally Accredited
though the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools.
The FACCS evaluation team was very pleased with our school and provided
the administration with goals to achieve full accreditation within two
years. Thank you for your help and prayers in this process.
I am proud to report
that 91% of our seniors have a 3.0 grade point average and 100% of
our seniors plan to go to college. What a blessing! |

helping you and getting to know you on a personal level."

Through a generous donation to Temple Christian,
we significantly upgraded the technology of the school with brand new
computers in our computer lab and a sophisticated, filtered internet
connection.
We also got a donation of 6 new computers for
the yearbook staff the led to the 1st Temple Christian yearbook
created on-line. With the help of advisors Cheyrl Hallock, Faye
Maynard, and Renee Hubert, the yearbook students created an outstanding
edition. So outstanding in fact, it was inducted into the "Gallery of
Excellence" of the Walsworth Publishing Company.
As you know, we were hit pretty hard by the
Hurricanes. Over the summer of 2005, thanks to the help of Doug
Barclay, Jon Ackin, Robert Shindo, Dennis McMurphy, and huge contributions
from Tom Porter's PrimeTimers including Ray Thomure, Carl DeMoss, and Curtis
Singleton, virtually every classroom and the entire school office was
remodeled and updated. Thank you to the many great volunteers that
helped get the school year off to an outstanding start!
We also are very grateful to Andy Bosch and his
wife. They have taken on the task of painting the entire school.
We are extremely excited to announce that we are
about to complete our 1st Library Media Center with the help of many
donations from church members and parents. They gave willingly and
thoughtfully gave volumes of books and their time to help Mrs. Price
organize everything.
In the Arts, Temple Christian students put on
what I believe to be their best production ever. The Academy of Arts
production of "Adoniram Judson: Cost of
Greatness" was an imposing
task the was magnificently preformed the high school students. What a
great learning experience it was as the students learned everything about
staging a huge production from makeup, lighting, set decoration to acting
and directing. And what a noble message the audience got from it!
But I think the best thing to come from our annual Academy of Arts week is
the devotions and testimony that the students participated in throughout the
intense week-long production.
Speaking of our fine students, we took a survey
of our graduates for the last two years and found that 90% are enrolled in a
college with 57% having scholarships. And our current students are on
there way to great futures ...
We had two young men, Michael Kuzma and Jacob
Bundy, reach the State Spelling Bee Finals.
Our Servant's Heart Ensemble Choir was invited
to Sea World to perform after the organizers heard their audition tape.
This is a special invitation that only the best were accepted.
And Ben Schafer, a junior here at Temple
Christian School, has earned National Merit Scholarship Finalist. This
fine young man scored in the top 1% of the nation on the PSAT.
We have two Senior boys who have earned athletic
scholarships this year. Andrew Salazar will be going to Maranatha
Baptist Bible College in Watertown, Wisconsin on a football and baseball
scholarship. And Bruce Whitehead will be attending
North Greenville University in South Carolina on a baseball
scholarship.
In our Athletic programs, we continue to get
better and better. Our Volleyball team had a school record number of
wins and qualified for the regional playoffs for the first time in school
history.
Our Jr. High boys basketball team went
undefeated in conference play and was invited to the NACA National
Association of Christian Athletes Tournament in Tennessee. They made
the Final Four of this prestigious tournament.
Our baseball team were the District Champions
for the 3rd straight year and made it to the regional semifinals losing to
the 2nd ranked team in the state in a very close game. They also had
an unforgettable week just before the District playoffs. In a span of
4 days, our little 1A baseball team beat 4A schools Titusville High and
Space Coast High and 3A powerhouse Melbourne Central Catholic.
And our softball team exceeded all expectations
in winning their first ever District championship, then winning regional
quarterfinal and semifinal games to go to the regional championship.
They ended up just one win short of the State Tournament! What year
for this fine group of young women.
Last but not least, our football team had a
season that movies are made of. Having not won a game the previous
year, our young men worked extremely hard through the summer on their
conditioning and came into the season with outstanding, positive attitudes.
After surviving a squeaker against Merritt Island Christian, these kids went
on to a 12-0 season and won the Florida Christian Conference's Championship.
With the dedication of these young men, their
willingness to work and play as a team, and with an enormous amount of help
and guidance from the assistant coaches, I was honored to have earned
Brevard County's Coach of the Year as voted by all the coaches in the
county.
As you can see, God has been good to us and has
given us His guidance to keep on improving every aspect of this Ministry.
We look forward to have an even better year in 2006-2007 with His love and
grace leading us.
