Dear Temple Christian School families,
As you might know, the Gilchrist Educational Foundation supports Christian
education in North Brevard County. This year we were delighted to be able to
award $5,000 in scholarship assistance to students attending Temple
Christian School, as well as a $500 grant to the school for facilities
improvements.
We are now raising funds for the 2008-2009 school year, and we need your
help! Our primary fundraiser is an annual gala, being held this year on
Friday, April 18. This year's gala will be particularly fun, because it will
feature comedians from the SAK Comedy Lab. Our theme is "A Night of
Laughter, a Year of Blessing," because you can come out and have a fun
evening laughing at the hilarious SAK folks, but at the same time you will
be raising funds to bless families with an entire year of scholarship
assistance. The gala also features an hors d’oeuvre reception, a delicious
dinner, and a silent auction with a wide range of items. All the money from
the auction sales goes directly to benefit students. We hope many of you
will want to attend this festive evening with other Christians who come
together to support Christian education.
We also need donations for the silent auction. We are asking each grade at
Temple Christian School to contribute items centered around a theme, such as
Family Game Night or Daily Devotions. Individual students are asked to bring
in items that fit their class’s theme, and then we will assemble these items
into lovely baskets to be sold at the gala. The accompanying instruction
sheet lists the particular theme for each grade.
