WEEKLY REPORTS
Besides mid-term progress reports, teachers send weekly tests, quizzes, and
additional information home, as needed, to let parents know of his/her
student’s work.
MID-TERM PROGRESS REPORT
After four weeks of each grading period, elementary teachers will evaluate
the progress of each student. A progress report will be sent home, to be
signed by the parent and returned.
REPORT CARDS
Report Cards are issued at the end of each of the nine weeks.

HONOR ROLL
Principal’s List/Dean’s List: 3.50-4.0 GPA
Honor Roll: 3.49-3.0 GPA
ACADEMIC/PROMOTION STANDARDS
Students will be promoted to the next grade unless several academic grades
are unsatisfactory. Unsatisfactory grades consist of "D’s" and "F’s". A
student will be retained only after consultation with the parent. Retention
is based on several factors, but the most important factor is the student’s
welfare. Most retentions take place in grades K5, 1st and 2nd,
but may be in the higher grades also, and are at the discretion of the
school’s academic committee and/or administration.
ACADEMIC PROGRESS IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
In order to be promoted to the seventh grade, sixth graders must pass six
(6) subjects: two (2) of which must be reading and math. If failed, reading
and math must be taken in summer school. To remain at TCS, students must
also pass Bible with a "C" or higher.
Due to the nature of the self-contained classes in our elementary school, it
is easier to provide more individualized instruction than in a secondary
setting. Though some students may pass with a "D" average, this does not
mean that they will be successful in our secondary setting with seven
different teachers for seven different subjects. The parents of students
with poor academic progress in sixth grade will need to meet with the
Administrator.
