Welcome to

Temple Christian School

God gave the Temple Baptist Church a vision more than 12 years ago for Christian education. The vision of our founders has become the Temple Christian School of today. Our church has commissioned the school to exist to educate the student in the basic disciplines of learning but then also to develop a Christian worldview coupled with a deep sensitivity to the Spirit of God and the Word of God.

These days can be the greatest days of your life. I hope that you enjoy school. You should enjoy the close relationships with fellow students while building bonds that will last a lifetime. You should make some memories in drama, music, sports, and other activities. Most importantly, you should follow Christ while in school this year. May you love God with your mind and study God’s word. May you love God with your body and develop disciplines that enhance physical health. May you love God with your soul and sensitize your conscience to hate evil and love righteousness. May you love God with your heart and willingly surrender your life to the Lord Jesus Christ.

"It was at Temple Christian that I grew to really love the Lord and my faith in Him deepened tremendously."

As the pastor of the church, I will lead our school to have a culture that values our three most priceless resources: the students, the faculty and the Holy Scriptures. We esteem the people God has led here for us to educate and mature. We value the Holy Scriptures and teach them with authority and without apology. We treasure the faculty and staff God has assembled to touch the lives of these young people. Because of our convictions of the importance of every individual involved in the school and the Holy Scriptures, our culture will restrain those who seek to damage the lives of fellow students or faculty members. We will also expect from every member of the institution a high standard of love as we value one another and live by the truth.

May this year be your greatest year. May our school honor the Lord Jesus Christ by educating and developing spiritually a generation of future leaders!

In Christ,

H. LeRoy Eldridge

History

Past - Present - Future

Temple Christian School was born in the heart of Pastor Wendell Correll and our first administrator Greg Correll during 1994. The ministry was started with a 1st – 12th grades totaling 16 students in 1994, and named "Temple Baptist Church Christian School".

From the very outset, the School experienced rapid growth. We started as an ACE school and then in 1999 we transformed into a traditional school with the A Beka curriculum.

Greg Correll was succeeded by Administrator Doug Barclay in 2000. In January 2001, Scott Hallock succeeded Doug Barclay as Administrator. From 16 students in 1994 to over 230 in 2005, the school rapidly grew into a position of leadership in Christian Education in the Central Florida area. In addition to a full high school program, Temple has specialized in programs for the educationally challenged students.

We thank God for His faithfulness in providing students, teachers, staff, and the necessary finances and facilities during these years. Much has been accomplished for His glory, and with the hymn writer we say: "To God Be the Glory, Great Things He Hath Done."  We look forward with great anticipation, to the way in which He will direct the expanding outreach and the continuing growth of Temple Christian School. Thank you for being a part of the family!
